Inspiration Behind The Bag
All of our ethical leather handbags are named after inspiring women in our lives. The Rodica was named after a very special woman in our founder’s life. Brooke describes the impact that Rodica had in her life:
“My senior year in high school took place in Ramnicu Valcea, Romania as a foreign exchange student with the Rotary Club, and Rodica was my host mom. She was so warm-hearted and, along with her husband Cornel, she made my experience so unforgettable.
Being away from home at 17 for a year is tough, but she loved on me. Each night we would sit around the kitchen table and laugh, tell stories, look at photo albums of their travels throughout Europe which all was such a dream to me.
The next day they were on the phone to make this dream become a reality. Next month I was on an adventure from Bucharest to Greece for two weeks. This bag would have been perfect for this adventure.”
